K.E.E.P. your family whole as you serve in ministry.

Doug & Rachel's rules to KEEP your family whole in ministry:

The KEEP your family whole acronym is based on four principles from God’s Word that helped us as  parents to build strong and healthy children while planting and building the local church.

Here is the KEEP acronym:

Kids get to be kids.

Engage in ministry together.

Escape regularly to reunite.

Protect their faith and destiny.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 NIV

18 “FIX these WORDS of mine in your HEARTS and MINDS; tie them as symbols on your HANDS and bind them on your FOREHEADS.

19 TEACH them to your CHILDREN, talking about them when you SIT AT HOME and when you WALK ALONG THE ROAD, when you LIE DOWN and when you GET UP.

20 Write them on the DOOR FRAMES of your houses and on your GATES,

21 so that YOUR DAYS and the days of YOUR CHILDREN may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, AS MANY as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

Let's breakdown the KEEP acronym:

KEEP your family whole!

1. KIDS get to be kids.

(We never forced our kids to do ministry.)

(We wouldn't allow other people to correct our kids.)

(Model and cultivate a servants

      heart.)

(It's impossible to legislate charity.)

2. ENGAGE in ministry together.

(Our kids serve in ministry often

        of their on choice .)

3. ESCAPE regularly to reunite.

    Daily Meals.

    Driving to school.

(I leave work at 2:30 everyday.)

    Bedtime Stories.

    Sabbath.

    Sunday lunches.

    Vacations (Smoky Mts)

4. PROTECT their faith and destiny.

(It's takes time to build a fully

    developed human being.)

          About 25 years

You can Balance your family and the church.
